About

Another Charvel/Jackson guitar web page?  What the hell is going on around here anyway?  People don't care about those guitars from the 80's... you know, the one's with the "hockey-stick" headstocks and the wild testosterone driven graphics.  If you are one of these people, here's a link for ya, ride it right on out of here... (fender.com)

If you're still with me, then you understand how influential the music, bands, and guitarists from the 80's genre were.  Whether it was sneaking downstairs on Saturday night to watch Don Kirshner's Rock Concert and seeing Rough Cutt and Quiet Riot for the first time, or watching local music video on cable, to the world premiere videos from our favorite bands on MTV (the M used to stand for MUSIC, hello...)... who can deny the desire we felt to be the lead guitarist in a band, just like our heroes that we watched?  The list of guitarists that meant the most to me is most likely no different than yours, with Jake E. Lee, George Lynch, Warren DeMartini, and Vivian Campbell topping my list.

So why did I end up becoming a Charvel/Jackson fanatic?  Well, my top four players all used Charvel strat headstock guitars.    This would eventually become a curse, since now I have to try and track down these damn-near-impossible-to-find strat headstock Charvel and Jackson guitars.   Along the way I have also supplemented my collection with some very cool Jackson headstock guitars, I always loved them as well!

Ironically, those who scoff at Charvel and Jackson (and are probably surfing at fender.com right now) would most likely be suprised by some of the guitars and content of this site.  There are a good number of strat headstock guitars, even a tele headstock guitar, traditional paint jobs, stock trems and (could it be?) hardtail guitars.  With a bunch of Jackson/Charvel fan sites already established, there is not all that much in the way of earth-shattering news or history you will likely find here.   But who knows, maybe there will be that one piece of info you needed, which, combined with info from the other sites, will help you.  I hope so.  This site is meant to compliment those sites already established, much like future sites should compliment those before them.

It is important that I thank my wife for not strangling me by now after hearing "I promise... this is the last guitar I need, it's really rare..." too many times!  Thanks Cheri!!

I would also be amiss if  I did not thank my brother, Brent, who is solely responsible for half of this collection.  Without his support, my collection and this website would never have gotten off the ground!   Thanks B!!

Feel free to contact me anytime, I always enjoy talking about the guitars.  In the mean time, enjoy the site...
