1984 Jackson Randy Rhoads Custom Signature San Dimas
Up for auction is a 1984 Jackson Randy Rhoads Custom Signature Guitar. Serial Number RR0852. A RARE early San Dimas factory Jackson Randy Rhoads model with factory ordered black PINSTRIPPING! A Custom model with Ebony Fingerboard, Bound Neck and Headstock, Shark fin fingerboard inlays, White Finish and Khaler Tremolo. Low Action with a great set up make this guitar a treat to play. The guitar has some finish checking, one replaced locking nut screw, and has some expected wear on the lower horns and tip of the headstock. A nice early example that comes with the original hardshell case and tremolo arm (missing cap).
In the pictures below I have tried to capture the finish checking on the guitar. The top displays several checking lines. Along the edges of the fretboard on the side of the neck there are also vertical checking lines. The tip of the headstock has an area where the binding is missing (see pic).
