This is a Jackson Soloist with the neck through body, humbucker/single/single pickups, licenced Floyd bridge, bound ebony fretboard with mop sharkfin inlays. The single coil pickups are marked Jackson, the humbucker in the bridge position is a Seymour Duncan. Inside there is a small circuit board and battery, my research tells me this is a midrange boost. All signs point to this being made in 1987 or soon after.
The bad news, the body has been refinished, badly. There's a point at the back of the neck, around the 17th fret, where it goes from factory glossy black on the neck to home-made black on the body. Also, the tip of the headstock has some damage, having lost some of its binding and the wood is a bit chipped. The bridge has some rust and areas where the black has worn off. The aluminum cavity covers on the back show wear as well. Finally, there is visible fretwear, especially on the lower frets.
It is a fully functional guitar. The truss rod still adjusts, the action can be set very low, The neck is ultra fast, it's got tons of sustain. It may old, but it's an old Soloist! Shipping to the continental US is $30.
