Up for auction here is the ultimate Jackson Soloist.  Made in Southern California, USA, this guitar is the real thing made by the experts, not some Asian imitation.  If shredding or metal is your thing, you will probably never come across another guitar that suits your style better.  This is the Porsche 911 of guitars.  It took about 20 years of production and experimentation for Jackson to perfect this design, and this is a prime example of a late model Soloist.  Plays like a dream: perfectly carved, extremely fast, thin neck (but not too thin, it still feels like you're playing a guitar...); the weight feels perfect, not heavy at all but still feels like its there with you; the Floyd Rose is as smooth as any I have ever come across and returns right back to perfect tune every single time just like its supposed to; nice tummy carve which allows the body to feel very comfortable sitting or standing with a strap; and due to the heel-less neck joint, perfect access to all 24 frets.  And the tone... wow.  Thanks to the factory installed Seymour Duncan pickups and maple neck through construction, this beast can literally cause paint to peel off the wall plugged into the right amp and sustain forever if that's what you want.  Sweet as honey lead tone that can cut through any wall of sound, crunchtastic metal sound, harmonics jumping out at you all over the place, and the single coil pickups sound as clear as a bell on clean settings and always maintain their integrity no matter how many effects you are using.  Personally, I find the HSS setup to be more versatile than the Gibson style HH, you do sacrifice the neck humbucker but in return you get more tonal options and a far superior clean neck tone with the hum-canceling single coil... nothing like that muddy sound you get when you go clean on the neck pickup of a Les Paul, you can actually hear each individual string ring out when you play a chord instead of all mushed together.

I purchased this guitar about two years ago, had it set up professionally to my specifications (D'Addario 10-52s... I will include a package with the guitar), played it and had it on a stand for about a week, put it back in its case and under my bed, and probably only took it out a couple more times since.  Even though I dreamed of owning a USA made Jackson Soloist for about a decade before I acquired this guitar, I unfortunately purchased it during a time in my life where playing guitar took a back seat to responsibility and work.  Now, since I am moving out of state, I need to cash in.  This is not a reflection of my feelings about this guitar, it has lived up to all of my expectations and more.  I can say with total confidence that this is truly the best Jackson Soloist I have ever played.  It breaks my heart to sell it, but sometimes you gotta grow up.  That all being said, I am hard pressed to find anything wrong with this guitar.  No damage whatsoever, not even any belt buckle scratches on the back.  I don't want to lie and say its a "new" guitar because it really isn't, but it might as well be.  I'd call it "mint", but I hate that word because it implies totally perfect condition and even though I feel it is, maaaaaybe I missed the tiniest of scratches somewhere on the thing and I don't want the buyer to question my honesty.  But you get the point, most guitars hanging in your local music store have seen much more use and damage.  The ONLY modification that I have made was that I replaced the standard strap pins with non-recessed black Schaller strap locks.  These are very useful, required no carving or altering of the body, and are totally compatible with any regular strap if you don't want to use them.

Specs:
Metallic black paint, black hardware.
Maple neck through construction, alder wood body wings, heel-less neck joint, tummy carve.
Ebony fretboard, 24 jumbo frets, 25.5" scale, mother of pearl shark fin inlays, white neck and headstock binding, mother of pearl "Jackson" script on the headstock.
Floyd Rose tremolo, locking Floyd Rose nut, both Floyd Rose Allen wrenches on the back of the headstock like all Jackson should have, "Jackson" tuners (look like Schallers to me with the Jackson logo), whammy bar included of course but will not be screwed in for shipping.
Factory installed Seymour Duncan pickups, HSS configuration:  a TB-4 Alnico magnet humbucker in the bridge and two hum canceling single coils in the middle position and the neck.
One volume, one tone, Fender style 5 way pickup selector.
Schaller non-recessed strap locks.
Hard Shell Jackson Case included.
