Hand crafted on December 6th 2000 and certified by four experts at the Jackson / Charvel factory in Fort Worth, Texas, this style of heavy solid body guitar has been a staple of hard rock for the past quarter century, forget Fender! The glistening green finish on this "beast" (quoting the manual) shines like new, and I’ve never seen another guitar with a paint job like it. It is a forest color full of silver flakes. It might get more attention than you on stage, beware.

Behind the finish the electronics inside are top notch Seymour Duncan pickups with a Floyd Rose set up for the strings. These allow the guitar to stay in tune all night through severe whammies, bending, and hard rocking. This guitar is truly well crafted and sturdy as heck. Guitarists from Iron Maiden, Lamb of God, and even the Trans Siberian Orchestra are proud to wield Jacksons onstage. The sound is great clean but the SL-1 is definitely designed to sound best with a bit of distortion. Only real wear is on the fret board because, let's face it, this baby's been played.
